Story

In partnership with Mabgate Bleach and Wetherby Brew Co we are pleased to present two awesome climbing films celebrating dirtbag culture and sick sends.

Tickets can be bought by donating £5 per person or bought on the day at the venue.  If donating on just giving please leave your name in the comments so we can add you to the guest list.

On Saturday 28th July we will be be showing Brave New Wild and Safety Third.   Doors are at 7pm and the show starts at 8pm.

BRAVE NEW WILD is an offbeat chronicle of America’s Golden Age of rock climbing before and after the controversial ascent of the Dawn Wall in 1970. Some forty years later, Oakley Anderson-Moore, the daughter of a pioneering climber, stumbles upon her father's old hi8 tapes, and sets out to answer the question: why climb when there's nothing to gain -- and everything to lose?

SAFETY THIRD - For most climbers, its safety first. But Brad Gobright is defiantly not most climbers. Fuelled by day-old donuts and unhindered by a fear of falling, this young talent is pushing the limits of scary trad and free solo ropeless climbing.  Having survived a few big scares, Brad is determined to make his boldest accent yet - a first-ever free solo of a heart-stopping exposed and difficult route.

Mabgate Bleach can be found at Unit 2, Mabgate Mills, Leeds, LS9 7DZ.
