Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit our JustGiving page.

This June a team of us Dirty Weekenders are taking on a challenge for St Richards hospice.

This popular challenging team event is not to be underestimated! This is a full day, competitive endurance event (but not a race!) This 12-hour challenge is hard work but a lot of fun!

As a team of 10 we will be starting early and paddling the 13.5 miles from Pershore to Tewkesbury.  Hopping out the boat to our support vehicle and crew (quite possibly a DW campervan!)  we will be watered and changed, brows mopped, rucksacks and walking boots on!  We will then take on the 12 mile walk (plod!) from Tewkesbury to Kempsey along the banks of the River Severn. Grabbing our bikes we will complete the final leg; peddling 10.5 miles from Kempsey back to our starting point in Pershore for a well earned drink and sit down!

We are all really looking forward to taking on the challenge but also to raising as much money as we can for such a fantastic charity.  A few of us in the team have first hand experience of the care they give and the amazing support to the families affected. The work the hospice do is incredible  and they deserve all the support and donations they get.

Many many thanks for your kind donations; spectators along the way are more than welcome!! (only if bringing refreshments!)
