The Prophetﷺ said “planting a tree is a sadaqah jariah (continuous charity)”

Discover Islam is working with Woodland Trust to plant trees locally in Sandridge, Hertfordshire.

It’s costs only £15 to look after a tree from seedling to maturity. 

A man came to the Prophetﷺ and asked “my mother has passed away, and if she could have spoken, she would have given something in charity. Will she receive a reward if I give something on her behalf?”
The Prophetﷺ responses “Yes”

Give a sadaqah jariah on behalf of your deceased loved ones.
