Story
I am taking on a BIG challenge which is focused around a two-day adventure race.
As teams generally comprise of mixed abilities, the challenge is to support each other in the various disciplines of canoeing, running, mountain biking, hiking and map reading. As well as focusing on team building the race will test fitness, communication and drive as teams compete against each other to complete the race in the shortest time.
As well as physical mountain bike, run and hike stages taking us up Hay Bluff, Offa’s Dyke Path and the surrounding area, we’ll also be challenging teams on the water alongside new archery and logic challenges to test the mind as well as the body. With plenty of ways to make up time on other teams, the competition will be fierce from start to finish. We don't have to be the fastest team to win the race as we bring brain and brawn together across two days of exciting challenges. Charity fundraising totals will also be taken into account, translating into time taken off a team’s adventure race time according to how much money is raised.
The 2022 stage details can be found in more detail HERE.
