I've been in and around the Hispanic Federation for a long time - 15 years to be exact. From interning and street canvassing in college, to part timing and consulting for them since graduating, the staff there has watched me mature into the person I am today as I've watched the org grow in its ability to help the communities it touches. HF has given me so much, from introducing me to my wife to learning what it means to give back to my community.

I was planning on running in this year's NYC Marathon independent of this running team. This will be my 3rd marathon and I have a score to settle with this course from my last attempt in 2018. It happens to be an added bonus that I can help fundraise for the Hispanic Federation as I try to PR in this year's 26.2. I wouldn't fund raise unless I truly believed in the work they do which includes hurricane and hunger relief, college mentoring programs, and helping other non-profits across the country do the boots-on-the-ground work that is so beneficial to actually helping people. Please consider helping me in raising funds to support these and other programs.

The proceeds from the dedicated runners who sign up to run with Hispanic Federation will support the COVID-19 Emergency Assistance Fund and community assistance programs to provide emergency relief, such as cash assistance, food, health, and economic support to meet the many needs of severely impacted Latino families in more than 40 states across the U.S. and Puerto Rico.
