I am 44 and I am running the Leeds half marathon in aid of the Association for Spina Bifida Hydrocephalus www.asbah.org  .I have always run to keep fit but have never done a race like this before. I have set myself a time of two hours to finish the race.

My nephew Michael was born  20 years ago with this condition and I have seen the difficulties that Michael and his parents have had to deal with and I feel that the more support we can give to people of all ages with this condition will help them to have a more fulfilled life.

£200 would enable a family to attend ASBAH's family weekend or pay for four home visits from an area adviser.
