Dreaming Of Christmas is a Facebook group that has been going for three years and has over 30,000 members.  We've been doing a Christmas Card Exchange for the past 3 years which has always proved popular.  For the 2018 card exchange we felt it would be good to be able to give a little something back and therefore members have decided that as well as sending cards to other members they would also like to make a donation to a charity.

I chose Motor Neurone Disease as the charity as it is a disease that a family member was recently diagnosed with and is something that some other members of the group also have experience with. 

For those that don't know Motor neurone disease (MND) describes a group of diseases that affect the nerves (motor neurones) in the brain and spinal cord that tell your muscles what to do. With MND, messages from these nerves gradually stop reaching the muscles, leading them to weaken, stiffen and waste.  MND can affect how you walk, talk, eat, drink and breathe. Some people also experience changes to their thinking and behaviour. 

MND is life-shortening and there is no cure.
