Big Club Dinner 2021: DoddMaster · 25 June 2021

We are My Name'5 Doddie Foundation and we're absolutely committed to our goal: A World Free of MND. We will leave no stone unturned in the relentless pursuit of this goal as we fund, guide and enable the smartest, most efficient MND research to catalyse a cure for motor neuron disease.

Story

To raise money for My Name’5 Doddie we will be live streaming a very special event: DoddMaster.

Based on TV’s “Taskmaster” we are chosen a group of rugby analysts, podcasters and fans to compete in a serious of British & Irish Lions themed challenges. On Friday 25th June at 8:30pm they’re efforts will be judged by our “DoddMasters” live across our  YouTube, Twitch, Facebook & Twitter channels.

Details can be found by searching for Scottish Rugby Blog and clicking on our podcast page or the DoddMaster post

Each competitor will be representing a different Lion’s nation with one representing the Springboks.

Our competitors:

Springboks: Robbie Owen (Squidge Rugby)

Scotland: Jonny McGinty (Howe of Fife RFC)

Wales: Grav Prosser (Ruck n Roll Rugby Podcast)

Ireland: Sam Larner (Rugby Analyst)

England: Lee Calvert (Blood & Mud Rugby Podcast)

Judging the efforts of the competitors will be our team of DoddMasters.

DoddMasters:

Bruce Aitchison (Happiness Is Eggshaped)

Josh Gardner (Blood & Mud Rugby Podcast and Rugby Shirt Watch)

John Anderson (Scottish Rugby Blog & Podcast)

The event is free to watch but in return we’re asking everyone to make a donation to My Name’5 Doddie Foundation.

We’re also encouraging everyone to donate the price of a drink to their local rugby club. Local clubs across Britain and Ireland have been hit hard by the Covid-19 pandemic unable to run usual fundraising activities and take money at the bar.

Local clubs are the lifeblood of the game and every single player selected for the British & Irish Lions Tour will have fallen in love with the game at their local club.
