Early in January 2017, I pledged to raise £2000 for Willow Burn Hospice. Ever since meeting Laura Douthwaite, Corporate Fundraiser, and working with her team, I've felt compelled to help raise the profile of this small, independently run, magnificent hospice.
Willow Burn certainly is magnificent. I could wax lyrical all day, but looking after people in their absolute time of need (and providing support long after a family has lost one of their own) seems to be the kind of charity, Digital Sparkles should support.
Thus far, we've raised £250 at a coffee morning and gave some office furniture to the lovely team at 49 Digital who donated £100 in return. Which means we need to raise an additional £1650 by the end of the year.
The plan is to run a Training / Networking / Sparkling day with the aim to try and raise £1650.
You will have the opportunity to choose two workshops in the morning and one in the afternoon, join the networking games and picnic lunch , the Personal Branding and clothes swap and have a 15 minute, 1-2-1 session, with anyone of our experts' from 4.30 - 5.30pm.

9.30 - 10.45 am - An introduction to SEO & what you can do to improve yours from James Lane OR
9.30 - 10.45 am - Using Your Phone for Social Media Photos Gavin Forster
11 - 12.15 pm - Facebook Ads Claire Hunter
12.15 - 1.30 pm - Networking games, raffles, 121 sessions and picnic lunch
1.30 - 3.00 pm - All Things Google For Business James Lane OR
1.30 - 3.00 pm - Using Your Phone for Social Media Photos Gavin Forster
3.15pm - Personal Branding to Grow Your Business Kathryn Clark and the Clothes Swap.
4.45pm - 5.30pm Networking, 121 sessions, close and pub!
All the training costs are being donated by the trainers and you will be asked to bring something for our shared picnic lunch so all catering costs can be saved and donated to Willow Burn Hospice.
The event will take place on 13 July at Sparkle HQ, Viewpoint, Consett Business Centre, Consett, DH8 6BN.
To secure your place on this exclusive Sparkly event, we ask for a minimum donation of £50 via the Just Giving link. As soon as we see that pledge, we will confirm your place.
Donate £60 and you can pop something into the goody bag that each delegate will receive.
Donate £70, we'll make sure your business sponsors our newsletter too.
Donate £80 + and we'll shout your name out from the rooftops on all our social media channels for the 4 weeks leading up to the event!
The tickets available are strictly limited to 30 and yours is secured as soon as you make your donation to Willow Burn Hospice. We are really excited to be able to host this event - it will SPARKLE.
There will be a raffle drawn at lunch time and if you have anything you can donate, that would be super. Goody bags for all.
