Many thanks to all the people who have donated so far! Your support is much appreciated!

On February 28th 2007 Ian (Big Joe) Battye (the father of team member Michael Battye) lost his fight against esophageal cancer, he was 54 years of age.

In 2011 there are 2 cycling events taking place in memory of Ian (Big Joe) Battye and all the other people who have lost there fighting against cancer. We will be raising money for The Yorkshire Cancer Centre.

The first event is Leeds to Blackpool bike ride which is taking place on Wednesday 15th June 2011. We will be setting off from Killingbeck Police Station in Leeds and cycling through Halifax, Hebden Bridge, Burnley. Blackpool, Preston and finally arriving in Blackpool 84 miles later.

The second event is The Scarborough to Blackpool bike ride whic is taking place on Friday 15th July 2011. We will be setting off from the beach front at Scarborough and cycling around York then heading towards Harrogate, Skipton, Blackburn, Preston and finally arriving in Blackpool 135 miles later.

Both events will be completed in one day.
