This year, our two Club Presidents’ chosen charity is OAKS Primary and Junior Secondary School in Bo, Sierra Leone.

It is 4,500 miles from Bebington to Bo and we plan to jointly walk that number of miles here in the UK. Given our enthusiastic start, members are making great progress so we may be walking another 4, 500 miles back again! We are posting photographs of our walks and maps of our ‘virtual’ route to Bo so that we can share our progress.

Club members are taking part in a sponsored walking challenge to raise as much money as we can to help fund the salaries of the teaching staff. Currently there are 18 teachers and 3 more will join the school in September. Each full-time salary is £1500.
