Hope For The Future
We are excited to be travelling to Kenya with a group of friends for 2 weeks in Jan 2019 to help Debbie Scott & Paul Robinson support the pastors John and Elizabeth at Utange Orphange in Kenya. John and his wife Elizabeth were overseeing the care of ten children in the village who had lost one or both their parents to AIDS. They wanted to create an environment where the children are nurtured, cared for and loved.
The Sure Foundation Home for Orphans built a home which was named Casuarina House starting with the initial ten children moving in. A further fourteen children, have since moved in making twenty-four in total. The whole team want to give the children hope and a future. Will you join us in helping them do that?
"Education is the most powerful weapon which you can use to change the world." - Nelson Mandela
It's taken many years of patiently fund-raising and finally the opening of Celebration High School for orphans and disadvantaged children will happen in January 2019....hurrah! We are excited to be a part of the opening of the school and the 10 year celebration of the opening of the orphanage. We will be there in Kenya sharing our skills, support and love in any way that we can.
The team are prayerfully expectant to open with 70 children and currently we need sponsors for another 28 orphans. Cost is just £29 per month and in addition we'd love to help raise funds for books pens, tables, chairs and all the other bits a kid in school needs. Building the school is one thing and filling it it another! Let's do this!

We can't help the 66 million but let's do what we can!
Feed500
We will be supporting Debbie with the Feed500 which is bringing some food to 600 orphans in Utange. These children are starving and very distressed. It’s shocking that 600 orphaned and disadvantaged children who live in Utange, only get to eat once every 3- 4 days.
But we know that with your help we can change this and make sure they eat every day.
We calculated that if we gave up our coffee shop visits for one week, that saved money would send a child to school for one month and leave us with change to spare.
Ok, hold up, we are not saying give up your coffee (unless of course you want to), but knowing that making a small adjustment in our life , for one week, can change the life of another, forever, for the better, is enough for us to want to move from the abundance of our tables and to lay it on the table of another more in need.
We know the young people are in need of basics, such as:
Tooth brushes, sanitary wear for girls, food, clothing, education, school uniform, books and any medical needs.
Please donate as much as you can.
They're worth it.
Each heart is worth it.
Lots of Love
From Shovorne & Dominic (Sho-dom - name given by our buddies) xx
