A few years ago now my grandad went on holiday by himself to Portugal. On the day he was due to return I received a phone call from a stranger who told me that my grandad had just passed away on the coach going to the airport. This was one of the key events in my life that triggered my intense and quite severe depression and anxiety and ultimately led me to attempt to commit suicide.

Thankfully I didn’t succeed and I want to try and honour his name by raising money for a cause that is trying its best to help people through their research.
