Story
I have been trying triathlons over the last year as a fun way to keep fit and as a hobby I can do alone, or with a group, hopefully into a fine old age..
But whilst fun, I wanted more of a challenge, so I decided to give myself a 40th Challenge and give you guys something better to spend your money on than drinks or cards for me! Work also matches your donations up to £500, so while that's my efficiency target, feel free to surpass it!
This is a 70.3mile (Half Iron Distance) event at Hever Castle in Kent
Lake Swim 1.2miles, Bike 56miles (4790ft ascent), Run 13.1miles (never run more than 6.2miles so maybe finishing on a half marathon is pushing the bounds of comfort a bit)
Spectators are welcome, but I'm aiming to simply complete, so this will likely be an all day adventure, with no time goal, other than the cut off times as below:
Swim cut off (at point of swim exit): 1 hour 30 minutes
Swim and bike (at T2 exit point): Total of 7 hours
Overall Cut-Off: 10 hours
