In memory of Sophie Clarke
We Raise awareness of mental health to prevent suicide and aid those struggling

Story

As a family, we set up The Sophie Clarke Foundation in honour and memory of our very special sister and daughter who took her own life in October 2020 at the age of 26.

Sophie’s story (below) is a powerful example of why we need to check on all of our friends, even those who appear to be happy, strong and thriving. We set up the Foundation to emphasise this message and raise widespread awareness of how important it is to look after ourselves, support those around us and encourage the change, conversation and openness that is needed to prevent the overwhelming number of suicides that happen each year.

There are many charities, big and small, taking a wide range of approaches to mental health support, strength and recovery. Our aim is to identify and work closely with those charities where our sponsorship and financial support is most likely to make a real difference to the work they do and the impact they have. While we would give anything in the world to have Sophie back with us, we are intent on harnessing the power of her story and doing whatever we can to raise awareness of these issues, encourage change and create a positive and valuable legacy.
