Story

On Sunday 2nd October I'll be running Cardiff Half-Marathon. This will be my 13th run of 13.1 miles, but I've been a bit slack up to now, as I've never got myself sponsored.

So it's time to change that and I'm appealing for sponsorship. The proceeds raised from my run will be donated to a charity called The Campaign Against Living Miserably (CALM). Cardiff was the first half-marathon I ever ran, so it'll be nice to come back and do things "properly". :)

The charity resonates with me because it's a body that supports men in crisis. Three out of every four suicides in people under 45 is male and the traditional approach is for men to stay silent about their problems. CALM encourages us to talk our issues and provides a wide package of support.

If you'd like to take a look at the work that CALM do, I'd recommend taking a look at http://www.thecalmzone.net/

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

About the charity

We’re the Campaign Against Living Miserably and we’re taking a stand against suicide. That means standing against feeling hopeless, standing up to stereotypes and showing life is always worth living.125 lives are lost every week to suicide. 75% of all UK suicides are male. We exist to change this.
