To celebrate Park Jimin’s birthday, we decided to support the people of Yemen. Park Jimin’s numerous acts of kindness and donations inspire his fans to also give back. 

About Yemen: 

Yemen is currently experiencing the worst humanitarian crisis. Over 24 million people, approximately 80% of the population, are dependent on humanitarian aid. 10 million people in Yemen are living with extreme hunger. Half of all health facilities are damaged or unable to function. The country has been suffering from a record cholera outbreak since 2017. COVID-19 poses a uniquely high risk for Yemen, causing an emergency within an emergency. The UN warns this could delete Yemen off the map. 

About Muslim Hands: 

“Muslim Hands is an international Non-governmental organization in over forty countries worldwide to help those affected by natural disasters, conflict, and poverty.” Muslim Hands strives to tackle the root causes of poverty and creating a fairer world for everyone. Currently, Muslim Hands are on the ground with two offices in Yemen and reaching people in some of the worst-affected areas providing emergency aid and implementing long-term projects. They have been distributing food parcels, providing school meals, and setting up mobile health clinics in rural areas. They have also constructed water wells and rehabilitating existing ones to provide vulnerable communities with safe water. Their upcoming goal is to establish a bread factory to feed thousands of people each day and provide essential medical care and PPE. They will also begin their largest water project in Yemen, constructing deep water well to provide clean water to 50,000 people. By donating, you are helping the people of Yemen receive the resources they need. 

£12.50 will provide nutritious meals for a child, for one month

£100 will provide Emergency Food Parcels to feed a whole family for a month

£150 will provide nutritious school meals for a child for a year

£300 will run a mobile medical clinic for a 1 day, serving the most vulnerable and isolated communities

£500 will provide a share in constructing a deepwater well, providing communities with clean, safe water and sanitation
