Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit our JustGiving page.

After a break of 4 years we are once again putting on our cycle helmets, getting on our bikes and cycling from Saigon in Vietnam to Angkor Wat in Cambodia. We are doing this in November over 6 days.

We are cycling to raise money for the Carers Trust supporting Young Carers from as young as 5 years old. We are covering the cost of the travel, accomodation etc. ourselves so that all the money we raise will go to the charity.

The Carers Trust supports more young carers than any other organisation in the UK. Through its unique network of 107 young carers’ services and interactive websites, the Trust currently provides quality information, advice and support services to 24,500 young carers.

Young Carers’ Services

  • help to find other sources of support so that fewer families rely on a child for care;
  • run clubs, activities and holidays that give young carers a break and time to be children;
  • give one-to-one support and mentoring in schools so that young carers can enjoy tasks and achieve;
  • educate and train teachers, doctors, youth workers and social workers to recognise the signs of a hidden caring role, offer a carer-friendly response and access specialist help.
  • Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure. Your details are safe with JustGiving – they’ll never sell them on or send unwanted emails. Once you donate, they’ll send your money directly to the charity. So it’s the most efficient way to donate – saving time and cutting costs for the charity.

    So please dig deep, donate now and help us to help the Carers Trust

    Thank you,

    Donna and Penny
