Calling all my family and friends, from Yorkshire, down to Dorset, and everywhere in between.

I need your help to raise money for a small animal charity, which is close to my heart. It has been run by Jayne and her brilliant team for over 20 years.

As some of you may know, my life has become physically challenging. I have bulging discs, Degenerative Scoliosis in my spine and Meralgia Paresthetica in my leg; resulting in rapidly reduced mobility over the last 3 years.

I am focusing on the things I can do, instead of the things I can't. I've decided to do a "sponsored mile swim". My local sports centre (Queen Elizabeth in Wimborne) have been fantastic and they are allowing me to use the pool on Wednesday 17th July at 12.00. I shall be swimming 64 lengths of the pool (1mile). I will be using a swimming aid as one of my legs has significantly reduced dexterity.

Any sponsorship would be greatly appreciated! All funds raised will go to "Pound Puppy Animal Rescue" Dorset, which will go towards treatment for the very gorgeous dog, Flo. She is a lovely girl who was callously thrown off a balcony smashing her thigh and leg. Sadly, one of her legs needed to be amputated. The cost to the charity is £1,500. This is a remarkably reduced cost, thanks to the support of the vets, Tom Mowlem, Vets4Pets Bournemouth.
