My mental friend Cameron Grant has roped me into a half iron man with him in sunny Wales this June. We will be swimming 1.8km, cycling 90km and running a half-marathon at the end of it all.

As much as getting me in shape and beating Cameron on the final sprint, I thought this would be a great opportunity to give something back to the brilliant people at St Ann's hospice, whose care and support during my grandparents' final days meant so much more to our family than words can describe.

St Ann's Hospice is a charity which cares for thousands of local people with cancer and non-cancer life-limiting illnesses every year.

Please please please donate what you can - just think of it as payment for my suffering when I'm 20k into the run!
