Don't forget the ironing - remember dementia

Don't forget the ironing - remember dementia · 21 October 2020
I’m Lynne and since being diagnosed with Alzheimer’s in June 2020, I’ve been keen to understand more about the disease and am determined to help raise awareness and to change people’s perceptions.
I’m fortunate that apart from the ‘fog’ that sometimes surrounds me, I currently live well with dementia. I would like to raise money for Dementia Support – a unique charity that provides complete dementia services under one roof in Sage House, Tangmere.
I’d love to do your ironing and in return, rather than payment, please make a donation, no matter how big or small to Dementia Support.
Dementia is now the leading cause of death in the UK. It’s a devastating and complex condition. Every 3 minutes somebody will develop dementia. There is no cure. There are 850,000 people with dementia in the UK.
Dementia Support are there for all those who need help. They reduce loneliness, give the best quality care and provide hope, supporting the whole family.
Doing your ironing will not only help raise money and support others, it also helps me. It gives me a purpose and focuses my mind on what I can do, rather than what I can't.
