Jan from the Coningsby Kennels is doing the Lincoln 10k to raise funds for Doris Banham Dog Rescue.

The Doris Banham Dog Rescue is a registered charity founded by Trudie James.  She set it up in honour of her Mum whose name was Doris Banham.  The charity works to alleviate the suffering of and rehome lost and abandoned pound dogs which are due for destruction because they are unclaimed. The charity arranges for veternary treatment, transport and temporary shelter. The charity saved the lives of 3,117 dogs in 2008 and as you can imagine given such high numbers of dogs saved is desperate for funds.
