Dorking Friends of Cancer Research UK started raising money in 1976.  In the last 40 plus years we have raised £830,000.  The generosity of supporters like those in the local Dorking community enables Cancer Research UK to lead the world in discovering and developing newer, kinder treatments and to get closer to cures.  Cancer Research UK's ambition is to see 3 in 4 surviving their diagnosis by 2034. Dorking Friends' ambition is to have raised one million pounds by then.
