Story
**UPDATE 19/09/2017**
With just 3 days until we go to take on Mt. Toubkal, it is with a heavy heart that we share the news that our inspiration to climb, George, has passed away in comfort and peace.
This remarkable man, even through his own ailments, inspired something beyond himself, and has lead us to some incredible adventures.
Our next summit will be an emotional one; and I will forever feel closest to my Grandad when Im on a mountain.
Thank you so much for everyone's support over the years, and to Mike, Dave, and Remy for being there literally every step of the way. Thank you Grandad for the tales of your own mountaineering adventures, and the advice along the way.
Looking forward to being 4127M closer to the heavens on the top of Africa, Grandad...we'll see you there x
Adam
Hello!
As you may (or may not!) know; we have had this one planned for some-time now...and with out adventure quickly approaching we thought now would be a good time to share our story.
Back in 2014 we set out to go up and down Mt.Snowdon to raise money for Parkinsons UK due to George, Adam's Grandad, being diagnosed that year.
Between then and now we have raised almost £3000 for Parkinsons UK, by taking on other mountains...each tougher than the previous!
This year we're taking it up a major notch - we're off to Africa no less, to scale the enormous Mt.Toubkal - all 4,167 M of it. (thats about13,000 ft in old money). A serious step up for us, and we be pushed to our absolute limits.
We're fundraising for Macmillan this time round, unfortunately again due to Georges recent diagnosis of cancer ; and it would really mean alot to be able to give back to Macmillan, as the support the family has recieved from the Macmillan nurses has been incredible.
Over the coming weeks, we will be out training double hard, you'll notice how we used the word 'attempt' in the title...this genuinely has the potential to defeat us and is no comparison to any of our previous challenges - so if you can
...please donate, even just £1!, or even if you just share our page on social media that would be awesome - on average 1 share on FB generates an extra £10 in donations!!
Watch this space and please get involved with our mammoth challenge!
