We are Dottie Lottie's Boutique, a family run women's clothing boutique. We are a nan, mum and daughter duo and absolutely love clothes! 

Back in lock-down 2020, Charly got her smear results which came back HPV positive (Human Papillomavirus - abnormal cells). Charly was then referred to Leatherhead Hospital under the Gynecology department for a colposcopy which came back with the same result so they asked to see her back in 6 months time. Charly's next colposcopy results came back that Charly had CIN1(Cervical Dysplasia - abnormal cells which is referred to as pre-cancer). Charly then had to go back in 3 months time where the CIN1 had now developed into CIN2, the hospital were great and acted so fast and booked Charly in to remove the area on her cervix. From getting the CIN2 results to having the treatment was all done within 3 weeks. Leatherhead hospital have been brilliant from day one, the care and support they have shown Charly in lock-down risking their lives to help others has made us even more grateful for our amazing NHS! 

Before Charly had her results we had never heard of HPV or CIN. Unfortunately women don't talk about their 'flowers' or are ashamed but this needs to change! There are 5 Gynecological cancers and each year in the UK over 21,000 women are diagnosed. Meaning 58 people receive life changing news every day and sadly 21 of these women die a day! It is so important we get our smear tests done and speak about our 'flowers'. If Charly hadn't gone for that smear test the CIN2 could have turned into cancer without her knowing. 

This is why Dottie Lottie's Boutique have decided to host a Charity Fashion Show to raise awareness for all 5 Gynecological Cancers and encourage women to get checked and get talking! We really hope you can join us! We will be handing out leaflets of these cancers on the night. If you can't make the event please read up about these cancers and get your smear tests booked.
