Yes - I'm probably totally mad to take on the challenge of a 2.4 mile swim, 112 mile bike and 26.2 mile marathon to finish (hopefully non-stop).

But the size of that challenge is nothing compared with the challenge of providing safe drinking water and sanitation to those folks in Africa who do not have access to it.

I'm luck enough that my job with Diageo allows me to work and spend time in Africa, so I get to experience the beauty of that continent and its inspirational people, along with the hardships so many there continue to endure.

Diageo already does great charity fundraising work in Africa, having funded 1 million new folks with fresh water every year since XXX. This is my small contribution to that amazing effort.
