Hello all, and welcome.

I have invited you here because on the 24th of July I will be competing in the olympic distance triathlon at the country estate of Castle Howard. Yes that is right, I've got to swim 1.5km in some cold dark lake, hop on my bike and pedal for 40 more km before ditching the wheels and taking to my - now jellied - legs for the final 10km 'run'. Now while I do appreciate that this is no 'Ironman', 'deca-Ironman' or Ultra-marathon, bear in mind that challanges are all relative. And besides, you will stuggle to find an Ironman who eats as much cake as I do!

So why should you donate money to Help for Heroes? Well here are what I think to be two compeling reasons:

1) This charity gives help and oppunites to the countless forces personal that are returning home with life changing injuries, to find out more visit there site. 

2) You get to see me prance about some country estate in a ridiculous triathlon suit, a.k.a. The Onesie.

In all seriousness I believe that regardless of what your view on our government, our Army or the conflicts they fight in. The bottom line is that these men and women are out there for us, and day after day they return home with injuries so life changing that most it hard to fathom. This charity helps these people by though providing grants to charities involved in both the reabilitation of these, along with helping them to achieve some of there ambitions, much like competeing in a triathlon is mine.

Now I just want to clarify that I don't have to raise money to compete in the race, but Help for Heroes is such a great charity why waste the oppurtinity to get you digging deep in your pockets.
