The 2.6 Challenge is a simple and fun way for everyone to do their bit to help save the UKs charities.

Story

Dougie was born early January 2010 but our Cleft Journey didn't start then. It started 4 months earlier when our beautiful baby who was not yet born was diagnosed with a Cleft. At this point we had no idea of what this would mean or to what extent our baby would be affected. This was one of the most difficult and worrying times for is as a family and that's where CLAPA stepped in.There specialist team of nurses met with us and help us face the uncertainty. The explained what a Cleft is to us but also to my 5 year who was also worried about her unborn brother.

When Dougie was born they came and provided us with feeding support and put us in touch with other perants.

As a family the support that we have had has made such a difference and Dougie said that he wanted to help CLAPA in its time of need like they helped him.

So he is asking for you to give whatever you can big or small to help others like him and keep this charity going.

If you know Dougie you how particular he is about his hair and how he has it cut. Dougie has said that he will let Daddy shave of all his lovely ginger locks if we can raise some money for CLAPA.

Three babies which are born with a cleft lip and/or palate every day in the UK, and will face a 20-year treatment pathway which can continue well into adulthood. The Cleft Lip & Palate Association (CLAPA) is here to make sure no one has to go through this alone.Every donation will help CLAPA to continue to provide specialist, targeted services to give people affected by cleft the knowledge and emotional support they need, while their UK-wide community brings together people from all walks of life to share experiences and learn to cope.
