5 events in 7 weeks · 5 September 2010

We are dedicated to improving the quality of life and chances of survival for young cancer patients aged 13-24. We fund and build specialist units in NHS hospitals and provide dedicated staff, bringing young people together so they can be treated by teenage cancer experts in the best place for them.

Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

Earlier this year my cousin was diagnosed with a rare form of cancer which was a big shock to everyone within my family. He spent a lot of time in the Yorkhill Teenage Cancer Trust unit and they were a great deal of help.

He has now been through his treatment and the surgery in summer was a success. We all hope he is now on his way to a full recovery. I thought it would be a good idea to raise some money for the charity because of the great work they've done and will do in the future.

So I decided that over the space of 7 weeks I'd do 5 events which are; Glasgow half marathon, Pedal for Scotland 51 mile cycle, Linlithgow 10k, Stirling aquathon and the Mens Health Survival of the Fittest 10k.

I'm hoping to raise £1000 for the Yorkhill unit in Glasgow so if you can donate anything at all I promise I'll give it my all over the events and the money will be going to a worthwhile cause.

Many Thanks,

Douglas
