We’re Mind, the mental health charity, working across England & Wales. We believe no one should face a mental health problem alone. We’re here for you. Whether you’re stressed, depressed or in crisis. We’ll listen, give support & advice, & fight your corner. Thanks for fundraising for national Mind.

The words to this song was conceived on New Years day. It was definitely a day of both excitement and hope. However I was also facing anticipation, anxiety and uncertainty about the future and the challenges of medical care in the months ahead, after an already difficult year behind us.

It left me wondering how I could make a plea to everyone to continue their support for the NHS by social distancing. The song SACRIFICE by Sir Elton John kept playing in my mind and soon after the lyrics flowed easily.

Front-liners in the NHS no doubt face the brunt of the pressure, and they need all the support they can get. The NHS have faces, lives and family of their own. They get hurt, they fall ill and break down from pressure too.

Let’s make the NHS stronger than it ever was before.

I chose the charity MIND because Covid has left many in social isolation and others struggling to cope. Our positive well being will be key to get through this pandemic and to support others around us.
