Dear Friends,

At the end of May, for several years now, I have participated in the Edinburgh Marathon Festival (EMF) and with your support have donated to Alzheimer Scotland.

In these difficult times we worry about the most vulnerable members of society, and as we move into May, a month I usually associate with our fund raising efforts, my thoughts have turned to all the people affected by Alzheimers.

There is no EMF at the end of May this year, and the rescheduled date of early September 2020, seems unrealistic.  However, I would like to carry on fundraising.

So, early on Saturday 23rd May, instead of running the EMF 10km, I will take my ElliptiGO (www.elliptigo.co.uk), a cross-trainer on wheels, on to local country roads and, maintaining social distancing, cycle the marathon distance (42km/26.2 miles).
