Fundraising for Wessex Heartbeat

Story

Welcome to the "Dragonheart Team" JustGiving webpage.

We’re an enthusiastic group of friends and colleagues working in the congenital heart and pregnancy services at Southampton University Hospital who are trying to raise money for our local Heartbeat Charity by racing in a dragon boat race at the Mayflower Park in Southampton on Saturday June 19th.

Thanks to the advances in cardiac medicine, babies born with heart conditions are living much longer, well into young adulthood and having babies of their own.

Please help us to raise funds towards specialist heart scanning equipment for our high risk pregnancy clinics so that pregnant women with heart conditions can be fully assessed by our multidisciplinary team and get all the answers they need at one visit.
