Story
5 years ago today we buried our father in the Gardens of Peace, may Allah have mercy on his soul.
His death came as a shock to us all and feel his loss every day. He was a GP and served and looked after the community through his work and through his talks and khutbah’s. He was an advocate for the youth and would strive to help them understand their deen amidst the challenges life throws at them. We ask Allah to accept from him and be a means of him attaining jannatul firdouse, Ameen.
Our father delivered this talk just a few months before he returned to his Lord Subhanallah: https://youtube.com/watch?v=OMSctA8vi5c
We are hoping to raise enough money to set up a well for those most in need as a sadaqah jariyah for our father, please donate as much as you can. A community well for £2600 will serve more than 1,000 people inshaAllah
On the authority of Sa‘d ibn ’Ubadah (ra) who said, ’I asked, “O Messenger of Allah! Which charity is best?” He [saw] replied, “Providing water”’. (Ibn Majah)
On the authority of Abu Hurairah (ra) that the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) said, ‘When a person dies, his deeds come to an end except for three: Sadaqah Jariyah (a continuous charity), or knowledge from which benefit is gained, or a righteous child who prays for him’. (Muslim)
