Having completed two shorter rides to raise funds for children with brain tuours - the Way of the Roses and Lochs and Glens - the time has come to try something more ambitious! So in my 60th year I'm going for the big one (in reverse): John O'Groats to Land's End, from 25th August to 7th September this year.

This is a true physical and mental challenge, but luckily I will be part of a great team of colleagues who make the whole thing not only do-able but enjoyable. And best of all, we will be raising funds for the Sam White Legacy, which supports research and pioneering treatments into childhood brain tumours.
