Million Makers · 1 January 2018 ·

The King’s Trust supports 11 to 30 year-olds who are unemployed or struggling at school to get their lives on track. Many of the young people we support are in or leaving care, have been in trouble with the law, or they are facing challenges such as homelessness or mental health issues.

Story

Dreigiau Cymreig, meaning “Welsh Dragons”, are a team
of IT professionals from a range of backgrounds and are at various stages of their careers.

They are volunteering in The Prince’s Trust’s annual entrepreneurial fundraising challenge on top of their day jobs throughout 2017 – Million Makers.

Why are they doing this?
The team are advocate supporters of the Prince’s Trust and many have been involved in various activities to support the charity during their careers.

Ultimately being involved with a charity as hard working employees does bring personal development & satisfaction for the individuals whilst the funds raised make a real difference for the charity and it can be argued that the expertise within the team provides enough clout to raise a substantial sum of money which will all go to the Prince’s Trust registered charity and consequently help those 11 to 30 year-olds who are unemployed or struggling at school to transform their lives. In 2016 the trust helped more than 56,000 young people turn their lives around.
