South Coast Challenge 2017 · 26 August 2017 to 27 August 2017 ·

At Alzheimer’s Society we’re working towards a world where dementia no longer devastates lives. We do this by giving help to those living with dementia today, and providing hope for the future by campaigning to make dementia the priority it should be and funding groundbreaking research.

Story

On the 26th August I'll be running the South Coast Challenge, a 100km race along the coastal paths of Sussex. I'm also running the Brighton Marathon as a warmup, which sounds blase but is scary in itself. Me and the Emily are doing this as we've had several family members between us who've been affected by and lost to this pernicious disease. It does feel like a loss as well - people present in body but in a fug of confusion and disconnection. Please give what you can, as I'm not sure if I can do it, and your donations will motivate me through the pain and awfulness to do something better for all of our futures.
