Manchester Deaf Centre is proud to serve as the hub and heart of Manchester's deaf community. We provide bespoke services that directly meet the needs of deaf people, supporting them to live happy and fulfilling lives. We strive to raise awareness and promote equal access and inclusivity for all.

Story

One of our fantastic youth workers Dr Jorge Nunez is
running the Rome Marathon on the second of April to raise money for Manchester Deaf Centre! Dr Jorge Nunez is a Law lecturer at Manchester Metropolitan University but has been working at the MDC for over five years.

Jorge is originally from Argentina and has taught Law in Beijing, China-EU School of Law. He is fluent in Spanish, Italian, English and loves BSL. You will often find him at the gym when he is not working or volunteering!

Dr Jorge Nunnee is flying to Italy this April to take part in the event  and hopes raise lots of money for the Manchester Deaf Centre's Services. We wish him the best of luck, or should we say "in bocca al lupo" Jorge!
