A little background information: Poor rains in the Horn of Africa have contributed to severe water shortages, failed harvests and food insecurity, affecting more than 10 million people in Somalia, Ethiopia, Uganda, Kenya, and Djibouti.
The drought is also driving up food prices in the regions, making life even more difficult for the poor communities affected.
The Trust has been building water pumps, wells, and water stations for over 20 years in Sub-Saharan Africa.
This water station will provide clean drinking water for large communities and a sustainable source of water for agriculture, allowing the communities to fend for them in the long term.
The Prophet ﷺ said: “The best form of charity is giving water (to
drink).” [Ibn Majah]
"When a man passes away, his good deeds will also come to an end except for three: Sadaqah Jariyah (ceaseless charity); a knowledge which is beneficial, or a virtuous descendant who prays for him (for the deceased)" [Narrated by Abu Hurairah, Sahih Muslim]
So let this be a sadaqa jariyah for you or on behalf of the loved ones who have passed away, and aid those most in need. May Allah bless you all for every donation you give and increase you in khair. Ameen.
