Maggie's Centres - Maggie's London Night Hike 20 mile · 21 September 2012 ·
After raising lots of money, meeting loads of lovely people and having great time on the 2011 Night Hike, I managed to persuade Rosanne and David to join me this year. By 'persuade', I mean wait until they'd had a few drinks in a noisy bar and then ask them very quietly....
The Maggie's London Night Hike is a 20 mile walk through London at night on Friday 21st September, stopping in at some unusual places along the way, all in aid of Maggie's Cancer Care Centres. The most inspiring stop is the Maggie's Centre at Hammersmith, half way round; seeing the brilliant work that the centre does really helps push you through the tired limbs and blisters of the final 10 miles.
Maggie's Centres can be found all over the UK offer something very special to anyone affected by cancer. The centres offer support, information, comfort and care - their aim is create communities of support. You can find out more about what they do here:

Anything you can give would be hugely appreciated.
To give you an idea of where the money could be going, each visit to Maggies Centre costs the charity £24. A free 'Living with Cancer' or 'Caring for Someone with Cancer' course costs Maggie's £50 to run.
