Our dental team is making our 3rd trip to Jamaica this fall to provide free dental care to hundreds of rural Jamaicans who would otherwise have no access to dental care.  Over the past several years, we've been touched by how great the need for dental care is in Jamaica, and we would love for you to help us provide that care.

We are again partnered with Great Shape! Inc. to participate in the world's largest international humanitarian outreach dental project.  Over the past 15 years, Great Shape Volunteers have provided care to over 180,000 Jamaicans and 3,000 St. Lucians.

In rural Jamaica, there is just ONE dentist for every 100,000 people. Tooth decay leads to infections, disease, unemployment, and even death.  Great Shape volunteers are helping to create an entire generation of kids with healthy teeth and gums.  That means wellness, employment opportunities, and beautiful smiles!

We will be working in a rural village in a temporary MASH-style clinic.  Anyone in the community is welcome to be seen in our clinic for free dental care.  They will gather early each morning and often wait outside in the heat all day in the hopes of being treated.

We will be providing cleanings, fillings, extractions, root canals, and other dental treatment to patients of all ages, from toddlers to the very elderly. 

Many Jamaicans have never been to a dentist before and they are very grateful that we are willing to travel to their country to help restore and improve their smiles.

The main job opportunity for Jamaicans is working in the hotel industry.  If a person has large areas of decay, or broken or missing front teeth, it will likely mean they are unable to get a job working with the public.  This can lead to a lifetime of poverty.  Our dental care is providing LIFE CHANGING opportunities for the people we serve.
