I am raising money for SpecialEffect as gaming is such a huge part of my life. It's one of my main hobbies, and it's something that my husband and I spend a lot of time doing together. Thinking about having the ability to play games taken away from me following an accident, etc., is simply unfathomable.

When I heard about SpecialEffect and the work that they do, I offered to volunteer for them in August 2018 at Insomnia63 at the NEC in Birmingham and I was welcomed into the fold with open arms. I have since volunteered with SpecialEffect again at Insomnia64 in April 2019, and Insomnia65 in August 2019. 

I have set up a series of charity donation pages which can be viewed on my team page (https://www.justgiving.com/teams/vixzen). I will be promoting these while either live-streaming video games, uploading gaming videos to YouTube, or by taking part in specific charity fundraising events. More information about me can be found on my website: https://www.vixzen.me.uk/

So far, for SpecialEffect, I have:

• Taken part in GameBlast 2019 and raised £100 for the charity by doing two 12hr long streams over the course of one weekend in February. [This was on a separate JustGiving fundraising page.]
• Taken part in GameBlast 2020, playing twenty-four hours worth of games over the designated weekend in February. [This was on a separate JustGiving fundraising page.]
