We raise SUDEP & epilepsy risks awareness to prevent deaths & support those bereaved

Story

Hi all,

Thank you for visiting our page (and hopefully giving us lots of wonga to help support Epilepsy Bereaved)

For those who may not be aware in November 2003 our close friend Danny Burns died for a rare syndrome of which very little is known about called Sudden Unexpected Death in Epilepsy (SUDEP). Danny was the life and soul of our friendship group - always up for a challenge and some mischief.

We all support the Epilepsy Bereaved Foundation, which help support families affected by SUDEP or Epilepsy related deaths, raises awareness of SUDEP and promotes research into Epilepsy related deaths.

We have been training hard (ish..?!) and hope to complete the Dublin Marathon in October in reasonable times (although some of us, no names... *Smudge*...will probably just be happy to finish at all). We will post pictures on Facebook for all those interested in seeing us in pain as we build up and and then complete the 26.2miles through the city of Dublin (maybe via a pub or two!)

Thanks for all your support, hopefully we will be able to reach our target of at least £5,000 so please all dig deep if you can.

Mark, Allen, Paul, Smudge, Robert and John
