Panah Children Charity is an independent UK based NGO, with no funding or affiliation to any governmental organisations. Panah safeguards and empowers children irrespective of race, religion, nationality or gender - by offering healthcare, education, shelter and nutrition for a joyful childhood.

Story

Inspired by my love for my brothers, who lived with and ultimately died from Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy, I have been working directly with families in Iran affected by the disease since 2009.

Currently, we are operating in Iran under the supervision of “Panah Children Charity”, a UK based charity operating in Iran. So far, we have identified and helped around 700 families in Iran. However, sadly, due to the lack of resources and awareness around Duchenne, thousands of families still desperately need our assistance.

Firstly, by raising funds, we hope to provide care and support as well the latest treatments and assistive technology to those already suffering with Duchenne so that they can live longer and have happier lives in their community. Secondly, we would like to make quality education available to all Duchenne boys ensuring they can become active members of society in their adult lives. And lastly, to create awareness and access to technology that identifies genetic carriers, provide information as well as state of the art assistance and back the already ongoing, cutting-edge research that leads to the cure.

With your help and collective effort, we can do this.
