EX BICENTENNIAL CHALLENGE 2015 · 3 February 2015

The Gurkha Welfare Trust is the leading Gurkha charity. We provide financial, medical and community aid to relieve poverty and distress among retired Gurkha soldiers, their families and their wider communities.

Story

Recruitment of young boys from Nepal within British Army started from early 19th century.  2015 will mark 200 years of Gurkha service to the British crown. The recruiting centres of Gurkhas in Nepal changed over the years. There are currently three main recruiting centres in Nepal - the country where Gurkhas originated from.

It is our intention to reach all recruiting centres within Nepal on cycle.  We will cover almost 750 kms on road in eight days.  We aim to raise money for Gurkha Welfare Trust by completing this event.

Small or big- Your support to our cause is invaluable.
