Story
Many thanks for visiting my JustGiving page which will see me doing a bike ride for the first time in 38 years!
I am raising much needed funds for the Futurestars Charity & The Ipswich Town Community Trust. They have joined forces to organise an amazing Cycle challenge for 2022.
My fundraising target is £900 and I would be delighted with any donation amount you can make.
Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure. Your details are safe with JustGiving - they'll never sell them on or send unwanted emails. Once you donate, they'll send your money directly to the charity. So it's the most efficient way to donate - saving time and cutting costs for the charity.
The Tour of Suffolk – Sunday 12th & Monday 13th June 2022.
TEAM ITFC is back, but with a twist….me! Following the success of the many cycle rides Simon Milton organised in Europe and the UK from 2014 to 2017 he has decided it is time to get back on his bike, and I have agreed to take up the challenge of joining him having not ridden a bike over 1 mile in the last 38 years, and probably only half a dozen times doing a mile! I have agreed to destroy myself to raise much needed funds for the two charities below. Both Charities are supporting underprivileged children in partner schools in Suffolk and Ghana.

The JustGiving online platform only allows you to raise funds for one charity so I have linked my page to the Ipswich Town Community Trust as they will be organising all of the admin and accounting for each rider and then split the funds equally between the two charities after all of the challenge expenses have been paid.
The cycle ride will see us take on the 150 mile cycling challenge with a fully signed route through the wonderful Suffolk Countryside. Along with 100 cyclists. I will cycle approx 75 miles per day for two days starting and finishing at Ipswich Town Football Club. It includes an overnight stay at the Potters Resort at Hopton on Sea before heading back to Portman Rd for the finish.
TEAM ITFC will include Simon Milton, Matt Holland, Terry Butcher and Russell Osman amongst the 100 cyclists. But let’s face it, these legends cannot compete with the euphoria surrounding seeing me on a bike in Lycra!
Many Thanks for enduring my slightly worried tongue in cheek post, please donate as much as you can, I promise I will cover my own hospital bills and none of your money will be spent on Rioja!
