Story

Steve's Story

Steve started his working career as a coal miner,
then he became a soldier and he fought in many conflicts such as Northern Ireland and the Falklands War and then he became a Warrant Officer in The Princess of Wales Royal. Steve served for 22 years and decorated for his exemplary conduct and his duties to our Queen and country. He then retrained as a Maths/Science teacher for the last part of his career. He retired to Malta with his wife, Madeleine, where he took up his love for sailing and achieved his RYA/MCA Day skipper/watch leader certificate. He was diagnosed with lung cancer in January 2018, but sadly lost this battle on June the 14th, 2020. His dying wish was to donate his body to The University of Malta for research in aid against the battle against cancer.

He is sadly missed by his wife, family, and friends.
