Campaign by Sarcoma UK (RCN in England and Wales 1139869, Scotland SC044260)
After being diagnosed with osteosarcoma aged 11, Luis Ghaut, his family and friends, decided to do all they could to raise funds and awareness for Sarcoma UK.

Story

I'm incredibly proud to say I'll be running the 2021 London marathon. Over the last two years I've had a particularly difficult time and have gone through huge changes in my life. What amazed me along my journey was the help and support I received from charities and medical services, which without them, I wouldn't be here today. Now well on my way to recovery, and having relied so much on these amazing people and charities, it's time to give something back. For a non runner - there is no bigger challenge than a marathon - The London Marathon!

As part of my recovery, I went to watch my sister in law Andrea and her close friend Jo run the 2018 marathon and I was bowled over by the atmosphere and the love shown from such a vast amount of people.  Jo sadly lost her son, Luis, to osteosarcoma and has worked closely with Sarcoma UK for many years and having been welcomed by their incredible volunteers on that day, there is no better charity I'd rather be helping.

Sarcoma UK is the only cancer charity in the UK focused on all types of sarcoma. Sarcoma is a cancer of the bone and soft tissue. It is one of the hardest to diagnose, and difficult to treat. We can help change this. By donating to my page, you will fund vital research projects looking for better treatments. Your donation will also raise awareness of the symptoms of sarcoma to help patients get an early diagnosis, and ensure everyone has access to specialist advice.Thank you for your support.

Thank you so much for visiting my page and donating to a much needed cause, every penny and pound is very much appreciated and I'm so grateful for all your wonderful support.
