Story

Thank you for visiting our JustGiving page.
Since the pandemic began in early 2020 we have had to cancel a number of events and have been unable to be out and about talking to you about the work of the RNLI in and around Durham
This is having a huge effect on donations which is why we are coming out to our friends, families and supporters virtually to ask for your help - we rely on donations from you, the general public and without your support we wouldn't be able to continue saving lives at sea.
The Covid-19 pandemic has brought a new risk to our volunteers that we never could have predicted or imagined but our brave and courageous crew members continue to risk their lives to save others.
We hope that you can support us by donating on our page - we look forward to seeing you soon, stay safe.

Keeping a modern fleet of lifeboats maintained, fuelled and ever ready to go to the rescue from all Yorkshire and the North East lifeboat stations is expensive and we rely entirely on voluntary donations to ensure this service is maintained. Add to that crew training and kit, and the pounds start to add up. Since the Covid-19 pandemic, we haven't been able to fundraise as normal to keep our lifeboats afloat. We rely on donations from the public to continue saving lives at sea - your donation to this page will help support the running of our 19 stations in Yorkshire and the North East; Amble, Berwick upon Tweed, Blyth, Bridlington, Craster, Cullercoats, Filey, Flamborough, Hartlepool, Humber, Newbiggin, Redcar, Scarborough, Seahouses, Staithes and Runswick, Sunderland, Tynemouth, Whitby and Withernsea
