Durrington High School first took part in Race for Life in 2016 with a team of 17. In 2017 this grew to 33 and in 2018, the Durrington team consisted of over 320 students and staff! Our aim is to make the 2019 team even bigger and we want to raise as much money as possible for such a worthy cause.

Sadly, a person is diagnosed with cancer every 2 minutes in the UK and many of you will know of someone who has been impacted by this horrible disease. But it's not all bad news! Whilst there are over 200 different types of cancer, the survival rates and treatments continue to improve. This improvement is heavily supported by charities such as Cancer Research UK who run the Race for Life events.
