Marie Curie is here for anyone with an illness they’re likely to die from, and those close to them. Whatever the illness, wherever you are, we’re with you to the end. We bring 75 years of experience and leading research to the care we give you at home, in our hospices and over the phone.

Story

2008 sees both Marie Curie Cancer Care and the Devizes to Westminster International Canoe Marathon celebrating their 60th anniversary. In celebration of this Devizes to Westminster have chosen Marie Curie Cancer Care as their nominated Charity of the Year.

Marie Curie Cancer Care provides high quality nursing, totally free, to give terminally ill people the choice of dying at home supported by their families. They are a UK charity which helps people with cancer, their families and carers. Through their hospices they also provide the largest number of hospice beds outside the NHS and investigate the causes and treatments of cancer at the Marie Curie Research Institute.

With your help Marie Curie Cancer Care can continue with their work. Marie Curie Nurses currently care for around half of all cancer patients who die at home. They would like to reach the other half.

Donating through this site is simple, fast and totally secure. It is also the most efficient way to sponsor me: Marie Curie Cancer Care will receive your money faster and, if you are a UK taxpayer, an extra 28% in tax will be added to your gift at no cost to you.
